Birthday Celebrations...

It was my 24th birthday and the first one outside my country. This birthday was no doubt happening since it lasted for not just one day but for 2 days. I got wishes all round the clock for two continous days - some as per Indian time and others as per the US time(s). Also, thanks to orkut the number of wishes I got this year far exceeded the count of the wishes I used to get earlier. Well, I would say this birthday was more of a affair to reunite and reignite links with your friends who were not in such a good touch due to reasons unknown :-) But yes I definitely missed the precence of my family, my parents, my sisters, my college friends in India.I missed them all. It would have been great if somehow I could get a chance to meet them, but then I know that was just not possible that day.
How can I not mention the sweet pain - I got my share of bumps and cake at midnight. Thanks to my friends over here who miss no oppurtunity to strike a poor soul on his birthday(well that includes me as well). But it is fun. Not the bumps part but the feeling that its your day and there are people there to celebrate with you. The day passed by in the office as usual although the phone kept ringing every now and then. Finally, it was party time...went to a desi resturant in the downtown. Do not ask me how much I had to shell out:-) All in all it was a enjoyable and a different day and its again a long wait of 365 days for this day to come again to brighten my life and soul.
