This happens to be my first post from India...yeah I started this blog when I was in the US and so this is post would be the official first post from the Indian soil....so I thought to write about some of the observations I made about India this time -

I have seen NCR (Delhi), Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune in the past 4 weeks. In all the places two things that were common were - the tremendous energy you can see around and the congestion on the roads. Whether it was getting stuck in the traffic near Hyderabad airport or dodging my way on my bike to the office - the traffic has really gone from bad to worse. This raises a very important point - we all know that India's future growth is dependent on the Infrastructure, but are there enough steps being taken to ramp-up the infrastructure. I believe No. Apart from Delhi, where you can see the Metro project being implemented successfully and many flyovers being constructed, the other cities I visited were limping as far as their infrastructural growth was concerned.

Even in Delhi, the pace of growth is much higher than the pace of infrastrucutre development - a genuine cause of concern for the future. The airports in the country need a ramp-up; roads needs to be build and traffic needs to be controlled. The road ahead is surely bumpy...
